Bob Muenkel VP of Retail Engagement at Resident in July 2019. Bob helps build/lead a retail sales/training team serving Resident Retail Partners throughout the United States.

Prior to Resident, Bob was Director of Sales Training & Development for Serta-Simmons Bedding (SSB), serving as the lead architect in product messaging, training and retail engagement strategies.  To some, Bob is known as the “QVC Guy,” representing Serta for 9 years on QVC, over 300 live shows.

Prior to SSB, Bob was Director of Mattresses, Training & New Memberships at Furniture First, a premier national buying group based in Harrisburg, PA. As a Senior Key Account Manager for Sealy / Stearns & Foster in New Hampshire, Bob spent 7 years developing and growing his territory sales 400%.

Prior to wholesale mattresses, Bob finished a 12-year retail career as Vice President of Sales for Sleepy’s the Mattress Professionals in the NY/NJ/CT markets.  Notable accomplishments include annual top-seller awards, reinventing, then implementing a new training and retail selling approach that increased conversion, average ticket and attachment rates.

Bob is a graduate of St. John’s University (NY), currently lives in Alpharetta, GA with his wife of 23 years (Karin) and son, Shane (19) who attends the University of Georgia.
